All EMS Providers,
Please see the below message from OEMS regarding an updated licensing
system and website that went into effect yesterday. If you have
already paid for your recert, you will not need to pay again, but all
providers should login to the portal to link your certification. If
you have not already paid your recert, it must be done through the new
portal below.

Hello MA EMS provider,
As of today, January 29th at 12:00 PM, the Office of Emergency
Medical Services has transitioned to a new online licensing system.
Existing EMT Basics, Advanced EMTs, and EMT Paramedics, including
pending initial or renewal applications, will need to create an
account at Health Professions Licensing Portal[1]. Once the account
is created, select "Manage My Licenses and Applications" and use your
certification number (including your prefix letter E, A, or P) and
social security number to link your certification to your account. If
this is your first time using the portal, please visit HEALTH
PROFESSIONS LICENSING SYSTEM USER GUIDE[2]_._
Those with pending initial applications, please contact
oems.recert at mass.gov[3] in order to access.
Certification applications, including the State Recertification
Application and $125 fee (Step B) for those due to renew by
03/31/2024, must be submitted on the HEALTH PROFESSIONS LICENSING
PORTAL[1]. In addition, you will receive UPDATED EMT CARDS, update
address information, and access your MA EMS information on the new
online licensing system.
All EMTs will be required to create an account within the eLicensing
portal linked above, and for EMTs due to renew by March 31, 2024, IF
YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED YOUR STATE RECERTIFICATION APPLICATION AND
FEE PRIOR TO JANUARY 29TH, YOU WILL _STILL NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT
AND LINK YOUR CERTIFICATION, _but you _ will __NOT __need_ to resubmit
your application and payment.
If you have technical difficulties, please contact the eLicensing
HelpDesk at (800) 414-0168, option 6 or
dph.elicensing_support at mass.gov[4]. When calling, please ensure you
have your MA EMT certification number ready.
_ALL EDUCATION, FOR THOSE WITH OR WITHOUT NREMT CERTIFICATION, IS
STILL TRACKED, UPLOADED, AND APPROVED ON NREMT.ORG._
If you have any questions regarding EMS certification, please
contact oems.recert at mass.gov[3].
Sincerely,
Evan Paicopoulos
