As Chief of Department I would like to congratulate all of our EMS 
providers on the EMS Silver Plus award from the American Heart 
Association in recognition of the departments STEMI and Stroke care.I am 
proud to work alongside such a group of EMS professionals who work hard 
to ensure that our citizens receive the highest level of pre-hospital 
care possible.I have been lucky to be involved with our EMS service 
since its start and to see how it has grown is inspiring.What awards 
like this come down to are the people in the field who are assessing and 
treating patients 365 days a year.We are extremely lucky as a department 
to have such experienced providers who not only operate at a high level 
individually but who work so well as a team which ensures great patient 
care and more positive patient outcomes. Our EMS Coordinators past and 
present such as Dave Russo and now Ethan Naiman have worked hard to keep 
our EMS service on the cutting edge of pre-hospital care and I thank 
them for that.Congratulations to all and Happy EMS week 2020.
