  All,

I wanted to take a moment to share an exciting accomplishment for the
department. This year we were awarded an EMS Silver Plus award from
the American Heart Association in recognition of the departments STEMI
and Stroke care. The AHA looks a variety of metrics compiled from our
documentation of Stroke and STEMI, for example; patient contact to 12
lead time; percentage of 35+ year old patients with chest pain
receiving a 12 lead; door to balloon time; and stroke notification and
documentation criteria.

This is the highest level of recognition we have received from the AHA
to-date and would not be possible without the hard work and dedication
of our EMS crews. As always, but especially during EMS week, thank you
for all that you do.

A formal certificate will be provided at a later date and will posted
in the station.

Thank you,
Ethan

Congratulations HOLDEN FIRE DEPARTMENT on achieving 2020 Mission:
Lifeline EMS SILVER PLUS recognition! The American Heart Association
recognizes that prehospital personnel are the first providers of care
to patients suffering from a STEMI heart attack and are an integral
part of the STEMI system of care impacting the overall care and
outcome of the patient. This achievement illustrates a commitment to
providing guidelines-based care while meeting high standards of
performance.

Congratulations again and thank you for joining with the American
Heart Association in this life-saving mission!

   Sincerely,

   Alana
