I am pleased to announce that the department has been awarded an Assistance to Firefighters Grant through FEMA for $46,829.  This grant is for the replacement of 15 sets of PPE, including helmets, boots, coats, pants , hoods and gloves.  This grant comes at a great time as we have a good amount of gear that was purchased in 2008,09 and 2010 which is expired or expiring shortly.  This is great news for the department and it will help us get a good amount of our members in the new gear with better protection.
