All,
A few updates on the EMS Side:
- We had OEMS inspections last week, which went very well. This is a
testament to the work of every one who works on the ambulance. A
special thanks to those of you who helped clean/ready the trucks in
the days leading up to inspections.
-We received some vials of Cardizem and they have been placed on the
trucks. They have been dated for 60 days, which is the longest they
can be extended during a shortage. We are still far from seeing the
end of this shortage, but we will continue to use whatever resources
we have available to stock Cardizem when we can.
- We are starting the process of having PMIs done on the IV Pumps. We
sent out the pump from A3 today, turn around is about 7 business days
at which point we will send out the next pump, and similar for the
third. Our intent is to keep the IV pump available on A1 and A2
throughout this process. Let me know if you have any questions.
- A2 laptop and dock are both OOS. We have moved the dock and laptop
from A3 into A2 for the time being until a repair can be determined.
- EMS training tomorrow (9/25/18) will be led by Ryan Pescaro. He will
be covering bloodborne pathogens and doing an Epi Check and Inject
Quarterly Review. Start time is 1830.
- A few of you have had issues with importing monitor data with ESO.
One of the first things to trouble shoot if you have this problem is
to make sure Lifenet (app on the desktop) is up and running. It should
start when the computer does, but it occasionally times out when the
computer goes to sleep for long periods of time. If you receive an
error from within ESO please let me know immediately so that we can
contact ESO for assistance.
Thanks again,
Ethan
