Deputy Chief Peter Bergstrom has announced his intent to retire from  
the Holden Fire Department as of November 2, 2018.  Deputy Bergstrom  
has been with the department for 40 years, serving his community and  
working towards the betterment of the HFD and the Massachusetts Fire  
Service.  Many of the men and women who have passed through our  
department did so because of his dedication to the Auxiliary program  
and his approach to training individuals to become Holden  
Firefighters.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter  
for all of his hard work and the assistance that he has given me and  
the Chief’s before me, his knowledge and expertise will be sorely  
missed.  Please join me in congratulating Deputy Bergstrom on a  
distinguished 40 year career in the fire service and well wishes on a  
much deserved retirement.
