For those who were unable to attend the General Meeting today, a vote was taken to spend $2,400 to host a Foam Seminar through Fire Tech & Safety.  It would be conducted by Jim Cottrell of Cottrell Associates who represents National Foam and Task Force Tips.  I have attended a couple of his classes and they have been very well run and educational.  He ran one in Lunenburg in conjunction with FT&S several years ago.  

 

Before committing to hosting a class slated for October, I wanted to send an email out to gauge an interest in fire chiefs as far as attending or sending a representative to attend from your departments.   We do not want to invest the training money if there is little interest.  

 

Please get back to me within the next week or so letting me know if you or a member of your department would attend.  It will be a weekday class and as of now I have offered to host it in Sterling.
