[HFDlist] Project update - Val's Restaurant

FYI:

With all of the construction projects in town, I going to attempt to  
keep everyone updated with the progress or important info regarding  
the individual projects.  This information is for the addition at  
Val's Restaurant:

The new addition will be adding 2 function rooms, a lounge and kitchen  
to the current facility.  The occupant load will increase from 220 to  
360 people.

The addition is stick built, all wood construction with OSB sheathing.  
  The structure is 71' X 74'.  The roof is constructed of 2 types of  
systems, the higher roof over the function areas is lightweight truss  
throughout, the lower roof is stick built but the attachment point is  
to the upper roof on the lightweight truss.  This should all be taken  
into account should there be a fire event in this structure.

The fire protection systems will consist of an extension of the  
current fire alarm with added zones and the sprinkler system will be  
expanded to include the new section and the attic space above the  
function hall.  This system is currently and will continue to be a dry  
system.  A new hydrant has been placed in the existing parking lot off  
the "AD" corner of the building and the FDC remains on the "D" side.

I have attached some pics showing the interior view of the roof  
trusses, exterior shots and the roof line where the 2 roofs are joined  
at the truss.  If they don't come through, we will review at a later  
date.
