Drainage Repairs to Rtes. 31 & 122A Intersection, Nov. 18 & 21
MassHighway will be doing drainage repairs at the intersection of Rtes. 31
and 122A today, Friday, November 18 and Monday, November 21. Drivers
should seek alternate routes. Police details will assist with traffic. 

Brush Chipping/Composting Events, Nov. 19 & Dec. 3
The Department of Public Works will host fall composting/brush chipping
events on Saturday, November 19 and Saturday, December 3. These events
will run from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are for Holden residents, only.
Proof of residency will be required.
Please be advised that the Department of Public Works is NOT picking up
roadside brush.

Household Hazardous Products Collection, Nov. 19
The Wachusett Watershed Regional Recycling Center, 131 Raymond Huntington
Highway, West Boylston, will hold a Household Hazardous Products
Collection (paints and chemicals, electronics and recycling/reuse items),

Offices Closed: Nov. 24 & 25
In observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, town offices and the Gale
Free Library will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November
25.

Weather-Related Survival Skills Program, Dec. 1
The Holden Fire Department will host a Weather-Related Survival Skills
program, 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 1, in the Public Safety
Building Meeting Room, 1370 Main Street. The same program will be
presented from 7-8:30 p.m. that day. This program is free and open to the

Santa Comes To Town/Tree Lighting, Dec. 3
Santa Claus will arrive in Holden, at Town Hall, 1196 Main Street, at 5
p.m., Saturday, December 3.  The Recreation Department invites children of
all ages to be on hand for refreshments, to meet Santa, and help light the
tree on the Town Common.
