[HFDlist] SAFER Grant Award

All:

I am pleased to announce that the department has been awarded a Staffing 
for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant (SAFER) . This grant is 
for the hiring of two (2) career positions and I am currently working 
with the town administration on acceptance. This grant will allow the 
department to increase our minimum staffing levels and provide staffing 
for Station 2, 24 hours a day.  A big thank you to our command staff who 
worked extremely hard on this grant application.  As we move through 
this process, we will keep you advised of the progress and timelines.
