All:

The DFS Firefighter Equipment Grant has allowed us to update our
accountability system and personnel tags which will be placed into
service this week.

Each of you will be issued two new name tags with your name, rank and
helmet shield number.  One tag goes on your gear, the second is a spare
to keep in your gear locker in case you lose your primary tag.

Each apparatus has an accountability tag based on riding position and
will be kept on the officer's side of the truck. For those in the
officer's seat, make sure each member of your crew is tagged into their
seat assignment on the apparatus tag.  If your on a first due truck
leave the apparatus tag in the truck on the officer's side, once an
accountability officer is assigned, they will retrieve the apparatus tag
with the crew tags clipped on. If you are responding mutual aid or are
not a first due apparatus, the officer is responsible for handing off
the apparatus tag to the accountability officer.

I've attached pictures of the new accountability tags and the new
apparatus tags.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out
to an officer.

Thank you,

Chris
