Good morning, today we put new single gas meters in service for each
of the ambulances. The meters are attached to the shoulder strap of
the blue first in bags. The meters are set to alarm for CO on the low
side at 35ppm and the high side at 200ppm. These meters should not be
used for primary metering and should be used only as an indicator for
crews that there is CO present at your location. The meters are good
for 24 months and there is a countdown display on the front of the
meter indicating its remaining lifespan. If the meter does go into
alarm, it will need to be brought to fresh air for resetting, which is
done by holding down the blue button located on the right side of the
meter, for 5 seconds. I have attached the link from the manufacturer
for more operating instructions.
