Good afternoon Chiefs,

Out of an abundance of caution, looking at the upward trend in COVID 
numbers, we have decided to postpone the District 8 seminar scheduled 
for next week and reschedule it for a later date, most likely in March.  
If you have already paid, we will honor those tickets at the rescheduled 
event.  We are sorry for the last minute notice, but thought it was in 
the best interest of everyone if we postpone for now.  Chief Norman is 
still looking forward to coming out to speak with us, so we will have a 
reschedule date out soon.

Good morning Chiefs,

As voted on at our last D8 meeting, we are getting back to having our 
annual seminar.  This year’s seminar will be held on Thursday, January 
13^th at The Manor in West Boylston and will feature retired Chief John 
Norman from FDNY.  Chief Norman will be sharing his years of experience 
with us in a seminar titled: */Leadership on the Fireground/*.  The cost 
for the seminar is $25 per person; payment can be in the form of check 
or through Venmo.  Information on payment is on the attached poster.  
Please circulate this within your departments, and reach out to either 
myself or Chief Z with any questions. Please note, we are not going to 
be accepting any payments at the door, so make arrangements to get 
payment in before the seminar.  Chief Z will send out invoices to any 
departments who need them.
