  Good morning, 

Please see the below achievement for the department, recognized by the  
American Heart Association for "EMS Gold Plus" STEMI and stroke care.  
This is the highest recognition issued by the AHA for EMS services and  
is a culmination of efforts of all of our EMS personnel. The AHA uses  
our submitted data on strokes and STEMIs, particularly in areas of  
Point of Contact to arrival at ED, and ED to balloon time to determine  
eligibility for recognition. Receiving the EMS Gold Plus recognition  
required the department to meet specific guidelines for two or more  
years in a row. 

It is with great honor that I get to share this achievement with you  
all, and thank you for all of the unwavering hard work and dedication  
to EMS that our providers.
