[HFDlist] Important - Please Read

  All:

This is a general reminder for all members of the Fire Department.   
Going back to last January, I voiced my intention to end any remaining  
call V. full time or union V. HAFF issues within the department that  
have plagued us in the past. This went on to long in the past and  
there is no place for this type of behavior or prejudices within this  
department today.  Everyone that is a member here is held to the same  
standard, that of a Holden Firefighter.  Over the last 2 weeks I have  
been informed of 2 examples where members have pointed fingers at a  
particular entity within the department or have lashed out at or  
pointed blame at other members.  I find this type of behavior to go  
against my vision for this department, and it will not be tolerated.   
If you have a problem, bring it to an officer.  If you have a serious  
problem bring it to me.  If you want to voice your opinion, do it in a  
constructive way not by bashing other members of the department in a  
public forum or in one of our stations.  We are all members of one  
organization and those that continue to poision our efforts take away  
from our mission.  Moving forward, as the Chief of Department, I will  
be dealing with these individuals directly regardless of position,  
rank or title.
