[HFDlist] HFD Changes

All:

Obviously there have been many changes to the command staff and officer 
ranks within the HFD over the past week or so.  For the past 11 years, 
Chief Chandler has guided this department through huge changes and 
growth in personnel, facilities and services.  We thank him for all his 
hard work and dedication through it all and wish him well in his 
retirement from the fire service.  As we move forward, I would just like 
to say that I am proud to take over as the new Chief of HFD.  Proud 
because of the caliber of Firefighters and employees that make up such a 
great department. Moving forward, we will work to build upon the 
foundation that Chief Chandler has left us and hope to make the 
department even greater than it is today.  During the mandatory training 
on 1/16 and 2/6, I will take some time to discuss with the group, 
expectations for the department moving forward and answer questions that 
anyone has.
