It is with deep sadness that the Chief of the West Boylston Fire Department announces the death of retired Deputy Chief Steven Osterberg of the West Boylston Fire Department.  Deputy Osterberg is the father of Boylston Firefighter/EMT Paul Osterberg and also recently retired as an employee of the Boylston DPW.  Deputy Osterberg became ill shortly after his retirement in May and passed away on Saturday August 5th.  Not only was Deputy Osterberg very active for many years as a member of the West Boylston Fire Department, he also served the Boylston Fire Department during his tenure with the DPW.  As per the Osterberg family's wish, Deputy Osterberg will be honored for his years of service to the West Boylston Fire Department with a full firefighter's funeral.  
 
Calling hours will be held Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 at Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston.  The funeral service will be Friday August 11, 2017 at 11:00AM at the First Congregational Church, 26 Central Street, West Boylston.
