[HFDlist] Explorer Post

Holden Fire is the sponsor of a very active Fire Explorer Post. Last 
year we had about 20 members in the 13 to 18 age bracket who learned and 
practiced all aspects of firefighting.

This is a great experience for these kids and also helps them develop on 
their teenage years.

The Explorer Post will be starting up again in September and we need 
more people to help! They meet most Thursdays through the school year 
and if we could get people to help out one or two Thursdays a month it 
would be a big huge. You don't need to be an experienced firefighter to 
help!

Besides help with teaching firefighting we also need help with general 
leadership. We could especially use some women as a number of the 
Explorers are female.
