As we have discussed there is Incident Command training that is needed
to be Federally compliant with the incident command system. In order to
be eligible for Federal Grants the town needs be to complaint. In
addition, in order to help run the EOC during an emergency having the
knowledge of the ICS system is important!
The two highest levels of training are ICS 300 and ICS 400. In order to
make it easier to obtain these we have arranged to have the taught at
the Public Safety Building Training room. We have arranged to have the
three day ICS 300 taught here on May 20, 21 and 28. Once we have
completed this we will set up to do the two day ICS 400 class here.
The attached Flowchart gives a guideline as to who needs what level of
ICS training. The ICS level is recommended for middle managers, and up,
who may be asked to staff the EOC in an emergency. In addition to
Jacquie's staff this would include other key middle managers from many
of your departments. If you have specific questions feel free to give e
a call.
The following is the site for the application for the class. Please sign
up for it as soon as possible! If we don't get at least 15 people it
will be cancelled and we will have to take it somewhere else! The class
is also open to people from other towns.

There are some prerequisites that need to be taken prior to this class
but they can be done on line.
Thanks,
Jack
